First thing people notice in some one while smiling is his teeth . And oral health told alot by a person and his lifestyle.

Good oral health needs alot of care and some prevention .

There are alot of oral disease which can only be prevent by some care and precautions. These dental problems included Bad breath , Gum disease , tooth cavity , Dry mouth , tooth sensitivity and even oral cancer .

Bad breath :

A common dental problem, medically known as Halitosis. As it is clear by its name, an unpleasant smell coming from mouth . It can be cause due to eating any smelly food , dry mouth or un cleaned teeth .

This is common issue which can be cure by brushing teeth , drinking water or with consuming chewing gums or mint .

But this common looking disease can be cause due to other dental problems like cavities or mouth cancer .

Gum disease :

Gums are tissue that hold our teeth . If we not take care of gum health it can cause effect health of our teeth .

Gum disease can include swollen gums , bleeding or pus, pain in gums and some time cause tooth loss .
According to WHO report 15 t0 25% adults around the globe have gums disease which cause teeth loss .
Easiest way to prevent gum problem is by brushing and flossing teeth’s regularly.

Dry mouth :

When our saliva glands failed to produce enough saliva which is necessary to keep our mouth moist our moth become dry . Medically this dental condition is know as Xerostomia .

This some time also cause sore throat and bad breath.

This condition can be cure by brushing teeth and drinking enough water especially before going to bed .
Teeth sensitivity

Our teeth nerves are covered by a thin layer know as dentin. When this layer get hurt or exposed by any mean like consuming extra hot , cold or food containing acid it cause tooth ache .

Every person experience this pain atleast once in his life.

This dental problem can easily be cured by brushing teeth with fluoride toothpaste , flossing and taking good care of teeth and food we eat .

Prophet Muhammad PBUH used miswak to clean his teeth and encouraged Muslims as well to take care of oral hygiene.

Prophet Muhammad PBUH said : ” you should clean you teeth as it is good for mouth and pleasing to Allah ” .

Brushing teeth often is Sunnah .

There is an other hadees In which Prophet Muhammad ( PBUH ) said :
If it wasn’t so difficult for my believer’s, I would mandated that they should brush their teeth with miswak before each prayer .

But people often ask a question about brushing teeth with toothpaste while fasting is permissible or not ?

There is conflict between ulama karam on this topic that whether brushing teeth with toothpaste is permissible while fasting or not .

Some scholars say it’s permissable because prophet ( peace be upon him ) was brushing his teeth with miswak even while fasting .

Sheikh Ahmed narrated that it is fine to brush teeth while fasting until he don’t swallow it . And fast only break when some one swallow it and it reach to his stomach .
On the other hand some scholars belive it’s is Makruh because it contains some flavors and chemicals like sugar and sugar dissolve when it is placed in mouth with help of saliva . And it is Makruh to taste or swallow something In fast and can break fast .

Most of the scholars suggest that is is allowed to use toothpaste in fast but it’s better to use miswak as using miswak is Sunnah as well .

  • Increase уоur dаilу diеtаrу fibеr intаkе, to slow down thе digеѕtiоn, fееling full, аnd nоt fееling hungry.
  • Be moderate in using gооd fats and take enough water.
